ABOUT

Driven by a profound sense of purpose, Khyree's parents, Ebbony and Raymond, founded the Khyree Jackson Foundation in 2025, transforming their grief into action to honor their son's memory. Khyree Jackson embodies a remarkable blend of humility and unwavering confidence. While a professional football career was always a dream, he approached every stage of his journey with enthusiasm, even while working in a local grocery store. In a candid interview with the Minnesota Vikings, he shared, "At one point, I wasn't really thinking much about football. I had just been named Employee of the Month at the grocery store, so it wasn't really on my mind." This anecdote perfectly illustrates his grounded nature and appreciation for every step along the way.

Khyree's journey is defined by his unwavering determination, perseverance, and a "never give up" spirit. These qualities are now central to the Khyree Jackson Foundation, ensuring his legacy of resilience and hard work continues to inspire others.

FOOTBALL

Khyree Jackson shined as a high school player in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. After community college, he joined the University of Alabama's prestigious program for two years. In 2022, Khyree made his first collegiate start with Alabama on the biggest stage of them all—the College Football Playoff National Championship! He then transferred to the University of Oregon, where he quickly established himself as a top player, earning All-Pac 12 honors in his lone season there.

Khyree's impressive skills caught the eye of the Minnesota Vikings in the 2024 NFL Draft. They selected him in the fourth round, recognizing his potential to develop into a starting cornerback. Analysts praised his ability to contribute immediately as a backup while possessing the talent to eventually earn a starting role.

Remembering Khyree

Tragedy struck the lives of Khyree Jackson, his family, and the Vikings organization just three weeks before his first training camp. On July 6, 2024, while visiting his hometown in Maryland, Khyree and two of his high school teammates Anthony Lytton, Jr., and Isaiah Hazel were tragically involved in a car accident. Khyree and his teammates from Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland succumbed to their injuries.

During his celebration of life on July 26, 2024, Kevin O'Connell (Coach KO) shared heartfelt words, and the Vikings organization has continued to honor Khyree's memory. Throughout the season, teammates have consistently visited his locker, leaving flowers and sharing words of remembrance. Many recite his favorite verse, Jeremiah 29:11, as a poignant tribute to their fallen comrade. These gestures serve as a constant reminder of Khyree and the impact he had on his teammates and the Vikings organization.
